We are currently recruiting for a Director in Japan for a global research agency. In this role you will be responsible for business development and driving profitable client relationships and growing sales for the business in Japan and beyond. Reporting to the APAC Managing Director, you’ll work closely with regional and global teams giving you lots of exposure as part of a highly successful digital research business.



  • Developing strategic sales plans
  • Arranging and leading client meetings, credentials presentations and writing proposals
  • Developing new business and building existing relationships
  • Working with research and operations teams on project execution (taking an overview but you will not be involved in the day to day execution)
  • Working with the regional leadership team on wider company initiatives, as required



  • 10 + years of experience in business development and client management – a background in market research, online research or related industries such as media or telecoms would be preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong network of clients in Japan (ideal)
  • Able to work independently, self-driven etc
