Description

One of the world’s best regarded research and consulting organizations is now hiring for a Team Leader to join their Singapore office. Managing a team of analysts and researchers across the region, this is a multidisciplinary role which combines team management, client engagement, operations management and research delivery.  You’ll get the chance to work as a trusted advisor to a wide variety of clients across food and beverage, retail, consumer electronics, government, construction and oil & gas industries, helping them answer their toughest commercial questions - from identifying new business opportunities, to understanding market sizing and competitive intelligence, to measuring and tracking sales and market share.

As a core team member within the Singapore business, this role will focus on the management and development of your team (around 4-8 staff). You’ll provide the necessary support, training and guidance to ensure research projects are executed to the highest possible standards, while ensuring your team also continues to develop and expand their own skill sets as individuals. You’ll work closely with sales teams in the development and delivery of proposals and engage with C-level client stakeholders, as well as occasionally managing your own research projects - so it’s important you are keen to remain hands on with research work!

For this position, we’re looking for someone with the following skills & experience:

  • At least several years of experience in a similar capacity, providing business leaders with fact-based consulting or research services
  • Some prior experience projects related to market sizing, competitive intelligence, market share & distribution (or at least a strong interest to work in this space) would be ideal
  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with data
  • Strong team management skills; prior experience managing teams of at least 3+ people
  • Flexible with research approaches - desire to expand your own research knowledge and skills across a variety of approaches
  • Experience working in Singapore with strong regional knowledge
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal - comfortable interacting with C-level stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail – ability to manage resources, timelines and budgets etc (and improve processes where necessary)
  • Fluency in English (essential) and another Asian language (preferred)

This is a truly exciting opportunity to join a business in a senior management capacity which offers ample opportunities for further progression and development within the region. At the same time, we are seeking someone who has the tenacity and commitment to step up into a role to help further build and develop a relatively junior and inexperienced team.

In return, our client is offering a competitive package, including 13th month salary, performance bonus, wider benefits and opportunities for formal training & development.
